This Privacy Notice describes how One Urban collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information obtained from individuals applying to rent residential units at 2475 Old Bronte Road, in accordance with: · The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) · The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada’s guidelines · The Ontario Human Rights Code · The Residential Tenancies Act (Ontario) and other applicable legislation This notice is available to all applicants upon request.

1. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect the following types of personal information from rental applicants:

· Full legal name and date of birth
· Current and previous residential address
· Employment and income details
· Banking or credit information (to assess financial capacity)
· Government-issued identification
· References (e.g., former landlords or employers)
· Consent to perform a credit check
· Contact information (phone number, email address)

Only information necessary to assess rental eligibility is collected.

2. PURPOSES FOR COLLECTION

Your personal information is collected for the following purposes:
· To assess your suitability as a tenant
· To verify identity and perform background and credit checks (with consent)
· To communicate with you regarding your application
· To comply with applicable housing and tenancy laws

3. DISCLOSURE AND USE

Personal information is shared only as necessary and with your consent. It may be disclosed to:
· Credit reporting agencies
· References provided by you
· Legal or regulatory authorities where required by law
· Our third-party property management partners strictly for leasing and tenancy administration

We do not sell or share your information for unrelated marketing purposes.

5. RETENTION AND SECURITY

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the stated purposes or as required by law. Security measures are in place to protect your information, including:
· Password-protected digital systems
· Secure filing and storage
· Access limited to authorized personnel only

Declined applications are securely deleted or destroyed within a reasonable period.

9. FACIAL RECOGNITION SYSTEM

(1VALET) At 2475 Old Bronte Road, we use a facial recognition system provided by 1Valet to offer secure, hands-free access to the building’s main entry points. This feature is entirely optional and is available only to residents who explicitly opt in through the 1Valet resident app.

If a resident chooses to enable this feature, the system will collect and securely store facial geometry data solely for the purpose of identity verification and building access. This biometric information is stored using advanced encryption and managed in accordance with PIPEDA and applicable privacy laws.

Residents who do not opt in will continue to have full building access via key fob or mobile access without the use of facial recognition. Facial data is not shared with any third parties, and residents may withdraw their consent at any time through the app or by contacting property management.

You have the right to access your personal information and request corrections if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
